Measuring technology incorporation/infusion

Article Abstract:

High levels of routinization and infusion of technological innovations influence the level of innovation diffusion within an organization. While routinization strategies are traditionally used to effectively implement innovations, a set of foci which can improve technological infusion is needed. There is a further need to study the nature and extent of routinization and infusion to identify effective adoption processes. An innovation's advantages may be reflected in the ease with which an innovation is adopted into an organization's operational system.

Development of novel products through intraorganizational and interorganizational networks: the case of home automation

Article Abstract:

More companies are focusing on improving their core competencies to promote the development of novel products and services. However, many firms find it difficult to develop new products and services because they lack the necessary skills and expertise, thus forcing many to adopt a narrower focus on product development. These firms then fail to come up with innovative technologies necessary for successful product development. The problems involved in developing complex product systems for the home automation industry are investigated.
