Minds need money too

Article Abstract:

The conclusions of a study by Joshua Gans, professor of management at Melbourne Business School, and Scott Stern, associate professor of management at Kellogg School of Management reveal that the overall investment in higher education and university research by Australia has fallen since 1997. It has resulted in stagnation in the growth of innovative capacity, and offering little incentives to aspiring academics to stay in Australia, or at university.
