Negotiating relationally: The dynamics of the relational self in negotiations

Article Abstract:

A distinctly relational view of negotiation, the conditions through which relational self-construal (RSC) become accessible in negotiations, the conditions that inhibit their use, and the mechanisms through which RSC affects negotiation processes and outcomes are studied. Substantial evidence is found demonstrating that RSC has implications for information processing, emotion, motivation and resulting behavior.

A tale of two cities: Competing logics and practice variation in the professionalizing of mutual funds

Article Abstract:

Independent professional money management firms have become popular among U.S. mutual funds through the use of competing logics that generate variation in organizational adoption behavior and practice. The trustee logic and performance rationales that influenced the fund organizations of Boston and New York respectively are studied with the two-stage institutional diffusion model.

Beyond the individual victim: Linking sexual harassment, team processes, and team performance

Article Abstract:

A multilevel perspective on sexual harassment is advanced and team -level processes and outcomes related to team incidence of sexual harassment are examined. Future directions for multilevel research on sexual harassment are highlighted on the basis of the results and their practical implications for management are offered.
