A development approach that is based on the establishment of worldwide networks proved to be instrumental in the success of Singapore. The Singaporean government, through its leader Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yew, has stressed the importance of establishing networks in an integrated framework in order to enhance the country's role in international business.
