Article Abstract:

The board members of Big River Timbers, a family business based in New South Wales, discussed what they would like in their ideal CEO. The need arose because Kerry Pidcock, their chief executive for 25 years was retiring. Eventually Pidcock's zeroed on Jim Bindon, an outsider, side stepping family member for the post. A brief profile of the company is also presented.

Andrew Ford, a coffee grower of Australia entered into coffee market instead of cheese or wine to prove that Australians are capable of producing world class coffee beans. Mountain Top Coffee, founded by Ford, is the only Australian company, which sells beans to Italy, the home of espresso. Its annual income is approaching $1million.
