Microsoft to unveil Pocket PCs in big rematch with Palm Inc

Article Abstract:

Microsoft is again attempting to compete with Palm Inc. for a third time with the unveiling of Pocket PC products that feature Windows CE, a Web browser, a digital music player and an easier navigation system. The software giant now holds 10% of the hand-held-device market, to palm's 80%. Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computer and Casio Computer have partnered with Microsoft to build the product.

New version of Microsoft browser will warn users about 'cookies'

Article Abstract:

Microsoft is presenting a "patch" to Internet Explorer 5.5 to expose and terminate surveillance and the implantation of "cookies". Microsoft's new version of it's browser is a response to concerns by consumers and some state officials concerned about privacy. Some cookies allow companies to know every site a customer logs on to.
