Precision instrument industry

Article Abstract:

Shipments for the precision instruments industry have increased in 1999 and the near-term prospects for the industry are optimistic for the year 2000 and for the next three to five years as well. The precision instrument industry is comprised of a diverse universe of companies and there are various economic factors which will affect demand in the future, however. Advances for industry sales and earnings are expected to be modest in the year 2000 and investors must be able to tolerate some risk with these shares.

Precision instrument industry

Article Abstract:

Prospects for the precision instrument industry are good for 1999 and the year 2000 as shipments increased 0.2% during the 2nd qtr of 1999 and earnings increased for the period, as well. The growth prospects for this diversified industry over the next three to five years are also good as the demand for these products will remain brisk. However, this industry is cyclical in nature and these stocks are best suited for speculative investors.
