Professional employers for small companies

Article Abstract:

A growing number of small and medium-sized companies are sourcing out their personnel management operations to professional employer organizations (PEOs). These service providers can take care of all aspects of human resources management, including payroll, employee benefits, record-keeping, pension plans, workers compensation and unemployment claims. They allow business enterprises to save both time and money, to minimize their liabilities as employers and to bolster employee morale. In addition, companies that outsource their personnel function to PEOs gain the services, expertise and compliance similar to that found in the personnel departments of large corporations. Small companies, in particular, benefit significantly from having professional employees since this will boost their chances of survival.
