Reaching for what's right

Article Abstract:

Organisation managers and decision-makers are often faced with moral and ethical dilemmas that need to be resolved. Some dilemmas have easy solutions when the choice is between right and wrong, but others involve right versus right and such dilemma paradigms can be more difficult to solve. An outline of three principles to test right v right dilemmas, based on traditional moral philosophy, is presented.

Balancing good and bad effects

Article Abstract:

The Principle of Double Effect, which excuses the bad side-effects of an action that brings about good effects, can be a useful tool to help businesses make suitable ethical decisions.
