Consumer misbehavior is expected to be a pervasive and integral element of consumption experience within the ideology of consumption, sustained by the same marketing factors that define the consumption cultureEs essential nature. The phenomena include much more than common fraud, and have important implications for understanding the totality of the consumer experience.

Charity retailers in competition for merchandise: Examining how consumers dispose of used goods

Article Abstract:

Consumer disposal behavior was examined to confront the challenges of charity merchandising and competition for secondhand goods. The results suggest that disposal is significantly influenced by the events that prompt disposition, and households used a varied portfolio of disposal channels within and across categories of goods.
