Retail building supply industry

Article Abstract:

Many mergers and acquisitions in the retail building supply industry has resulted in a few giant superstore chains completely dominating the industry. Economically, the industry will be affected by increased mortgage rates that will limit home construction, but since the retail building supply chains have many non-professional consumers, the effect will be less than the harm to the home construction industry. Investors will find that Home Depot and Lowe's, the two largest retail chains offer the best investment possibilities.
