St George is back, with a new plan of attack

Article Abstract:

St. George Bank merged with Advance Bank in 1998. The new bank will attempt to retain St. George's image for customer service and Advance's image for innovation. The $2.65 billion acquisition has decreased St. George's market share of the home loans and deposits markets. Portfolio is a new product the bank introduced to attract new customers and encourage current customers to purchase more bank products.

A break with tradition puts some boom in the bubbly trade

Champagne producers are entering into serious marketing. Remy Cointreau has introduced a red label for its Piper-Heidsieck champagne and has seen a 14.5% increase in sales worldwide. Remy is also trying innovative ways of marketing Krug. It has a Krug Room in Chifley Tower in Sydney in an arrangement with Forty One. It is trying to sell Krug as a luxury item.

Gates' grand internet plan
