Textile industry

Article Abstract:

The US textile industry is still feeling the effects of the Asian economic crisis in 1999 with lower sales, earnings, and stock prices due to the competitive market place. American producers have since implemented strategies to counter this and the improved Asian market has also helped demand despite a glut in denim. Investors may find several bargains with these stocks, as they are at depressed price levels, but there is risk in the first half of the year 2000 for these shares.
