The advantages of appointing a new chief executive, who is not responsible or affected by past mistakes, are discussed. By appointing such a person, the business enterprise can ensure that the problems in the company will be dealt with in a proper manner. The shareholders seeking to sell their stake too feel reassured that their problems would be addressed.
