The deployment of temporary production workers in assembly operations: a case study of the hidden costs of learning and forgetting

Article Abstract:

A factorial experimental design, is used to understand the dynamic impact of different worker skills. In the analysis, it is assumed that, temporary workers have relatively less skill and lower rates of learning as compared to the permanent workers.
