Tricon has a large serving of recognition; the PepsiCo fast-food spin-off is proving the value of cooperation over confrontation

Article Abstract:

PepsiCo's Tricon Global Restaurants, which consists of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut, will likely increase its 1999 earnings from $1.83 to $2.37 per share, reflecting its improvement in food quality, service, and management. Tricon executives are focusing on rewarding lower management for franchise successes, but plan to sell 30% of the franchises to cut Tricon debt.
