USTR holds public briefing on United States-Chile free trade agreement

Issues concerning free trade negotiations between Chile and the US, as the negotiations enter the sixth round on Jul 22, 2001, are examined, focusing on the status of topics being negotiated. Topics include market access for industrial and agricultural goods, meat inspection and beef grading systems, textiles, safeguards and sharing of confidential information, customs procedures, government procurement, electronic commerce, environment, intellectual property, and investment.
