The likely trends in world's advertising industry, consequent to globalization are discussed. It is expected that the industry will be broken down into two segments wherein the larger globalized companies and boutique agencies will drive the medium size agencies to extinction.

Adland's great depression

The problems such as lack of growth in revenue and decline in the status and influence of ad agencies are pushing down the advertising industry into a great depression. Methods such as value-added services that help the ad agencies to come out of the depression are suggested.
