When "just in time" just isn't enough

Article Abstract:

American Standard Inc uses a 'demand-flow manufacturing' process to control manufacturing and inventory. Demand-flow manufacturing is more than a 'just in time' inventory system. Demand-flow manufacturing is a Total Quality Management strategy that shortens cycle time and improves quality and efficiency.
