Whitewater hearings begin in Senate

A Senate committee investigating the Whitewater scandal began hearing testimony on Jun 18, 1995. The first issue addressed was the Jul 20, 1993, suicide of White House counsel Vincent W Foster Jr. Former assoc Attorney General Webster L Hubbell testified about his role in the scandal.

Senate, House committees conclude Whitewater hearings: wrongdoing not conclusively shown

Article Abstract:

Both the Senate and House hearings on the Whitewater affair concluded on Aug 10, 1995. The Senate had focused its hearings on the death of Vince Foster and Bernard Nussbaum's role in handling his papers. The House investigation had focused on banking and obstruction charges.
