Authorities in Manila, Philippines say that a bomb caused February 14, 2004 super ferry disaster that killed one hundred and sixteen people. The ferry disaster is viewed as worst in Asia since the Bali night club bombings but investigators are worried that a terrorist movement is evolving in the region since most of the militants are local youth who are lured into the movement by radical Islamic preachingEs.

Fitting the bill: the Yemeni connection

Article Abstract:

The September 11 attacks on the U.S. are believed to be linked to the USS Cole bombing, which may implicate Yemeni government officials in a conspiracy with Osama bin Laden. One of the hijackers was a Yemeni citizen, and Yemeni authorities are not allowing FBI investigators to interview government leaders.
