A decision-support model for investment decisions in new ventures

Article Abstract:

A knowledge based decision support system for forecasting which new ventures will be successful is formulated. The model utilizes both quantitative and qualitative variables by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The forecasting ability of the decision model is enhanced by the qualitative measures and AHP imparts robustness to the qualitative attributes. The system is applicable for situations where there is a mixture and quantitative and qualitative indicators.

An architecture for knowledge evolution in organisations

Article Abstract:

An architecture that takes into consideration knowledge evolution was proposed for use in knowledge capitalization and management. The proposed architecture, which tries to fulfill the inadequacies of the Methodology for Knowledge System Management, utilizes the evolution trees of Cladistic classification. It also makes use of the Lamarckian concepts to trace the history of concepts, with annotation relating to evolution.
