General John Abizaid of the United States Army is in the Middle East building schools, health clinics and wells in an effort to rebuild the economic infrastructure of a broken community. To contain the violence of al Qaeda the United States is killing terrorists and supporting local politicians through the reconstruction.

Attack on helicopter kills 15 U.S. soldiers; a struggle for control
