A hybrid method combining continuous tabu search and Nelder -Mead simplex algorithms for the global optimization of multiminima functions

Article Abstract:

A demonstration of the proposition that tabu search can be efficiently applied to the optimization of continuous optimization functions is presented. Researchers have developed an interesting adaptation of the continuous case of two concepts widely used in combinatorial tabu search, namely diversification and intensification. Proposals have been made for diversification for detecting promising areas and intensification for searching within the most promising area.

i'm using the nelder- mead method to find local minima in N dimentional space, so this article seems to be close to my area of intrest
