A new methodology linking concentration dynamics to current and steady-state profits: examining Korean industrial policy during take-off

Article Abstract:

The dynamics of the industrial structure and market power is analyzed by developing a model using Korean manufacturing data during its take-off period between the years 1978 to 82. The model study showed a new latent variable for steady- state profits derived from the speed of structural adjustment.

Estimating the extent of potential competition in the Korean mobile telecommunications market: switching costs and number portability
