A top banker's stay at Lehman is a short one

Prominent British banker Suart Upcraft has been rehired by Credit Suisse Group of Switzerland after only two years at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. of the United States. Mr. Upcraft will deal with mergers and industrial clients of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for the Credit Suisse Group United Kingdom branch.

HSBC net rises, but bad loans hurt bottom line

HSBC Holdings PLC of the United Kingdom posted a net income increase to 17 percent to $15.08 billion for 2005. Revenue results were due to increased costs on bad loans and a weaker performance at its investment bank. The financial services provider is the third largest bank in the world.

HSBC taps Green to succeed Bond as its Chairman
