A worthwhile upgrade: the release of version 4 of Windows NT has been considerably lower-profile than Windows 95, but it too has plenty to offer users

Article Abstract:

The release of version 4 of Windows NT did not receive the same hype as the release of Windows 95, although it is a robust, 32-bit operating system. Microsoft is viewing the UNIX market and anticipates downsizing of users of UNIX-based systems. NT 4 incorporates an Internet information server and the company sees the Internet and Intranet server markets as growth areas. NT 4 lacks third party drivers but handles multi-threading effectively.

There are several regulations relating to the use of screens in offices including the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulaltions 1992. They call for all display screen users to be trained on hazards, the assessment of risks and their control. Health and Safety Executive (HSE) offers guidance to employers on assessment and control of risks to health and safety.
