ABC Learning shares tumble amid debt fears

Shares in Australian child care provider ABC Learning Centres Ltd. dropped 43% as concerns over the firm's debt led hedge funds to sell shares short. Shares closed for ABC Learning at A$2.14, down by A$1.60. The loss for Temasek Holdings Private Ltd., ABC Learning's largest shareholder, is approximately A$282 mil.

Saudi Telecom snaps up stake in Malaysia's Maxis

Article Abstract:

Saudi Telecom Co. will purchase a 25% stake in Malaysian mobile operator Maxis Communications Bhd., and a 51% stake in the firm's Indonesian unit. The two companies will then invest $900 mil jointly to expand Maxis' operations in India.
