ADC to acquire Saville Systems in stock swap

Article Abstract:

ADC Telecommunications Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire Saville Systems PLC in an approximately $700 million (673.9 million euros) exchange of shares. ADC also announced that it ended its present share repurchase program in order to give the company greater flexibility in seeking out strategic acquisitions. ADC will exchange 0.358 share for every ordinary stock of Saville Systems according to the terms of the deal.

U.S. telecom firm agrees to buy Altitum, Ibsen

Alcatel-Lucent deal ends after clash over control

Alcatel SA's planned merger with Lucent Technologies Inc. collapsed over differences on issues of control. The planned deal was valued at about $23 billion (26.75 billion euros).
