ANALJIT QUITS AS MD, JETLY STEPS IN

Article Abstract:

Mr Analjit Singh has relinquished his post as the managing director of Max India to Mr Vivek Jetley, who had been appointed as the chief executive officer of the company in July 1998. Mr Analjit will continue to be the vice-chairman of the company in a non-executive capacity. He will concentrate on corporate governance, strategy formulation, relationships with business partners and identification of new business opportunities. (khr)

PAREKH QUITS PHILIPS INDIA BOARD

Mr Deepak S Parekh has quit Philips India Ltd's (PIL) board. Mr Parekh had been serving as a non-executive director on PIL's board for the past 11 years. He is presently the Chairman of the Housing Development Finance Corporation. Mr Parekh has cited inability to serve PIL due to other commitments and assignments. The other non-executive directors on the PIL board include Mr SM Datta, Mr JN Sapru and Mr Rajesh Shah. (gs)(vr)

ASHUTOSH BISHNOI TO BE JMCM CHIEF

Ashutosh Bishnoi will be the new President and Chief Executive Officer of JM Capital Management Ltd (JMCM) from April 1, 1999. Formerly he was the head of strategic development at Hindustan Thompson Associates. He will be responsible for new scheme launches, setting up internal infrastructure and strategic direction. JMCM has eight schemes with a total corpus of Rs700 crore. (um)(psr)
