AOL extends reach with Radiant stake

Article Abstract:

America Online Inc. (AOL) announced that it is making a $10 million (9.36 million euros) investment in Radiant Systems Inc. AOL will acquire 4% share of Radiant byt way of the investment. Radiant manufactures "point of sale" terminals. Under the agreement, both firms will establish a joint venture that will develop technology that will allow users to access AOL's online services from Radiant's terminals.

The deadline for a review of the America Online Inc.-Time Warner Inc. merger has been moved back by two weeks. Regulators are concentrating on the cable operations of Time Warner.
