After the pink slip, outplacement firms are ground zero

Article Abstract:

Executives have often worked many years at one firm and are out of practice at searching for employment. Providing outplacement assistance also allows companies to show how they care about employees and their career development.

Asia's recruiting firms expand

Article Abstract:

The executive recruitment firms in Asia are continuing their expansion while those in the West are retrenching in the wake of the economic slowdown in the United States and a return to normal staffing levels after outsized growth rates in 1999 and 2000. Asian firms are not expecting the boom-time revenues of 2000.
