Lovochemie to begin building a new nitric acid unit

Article Abstract:

Lovochemie (Lovosice, Czech Republic), fertilizers company, will begin building a new CEK 1 bil nitric acid unit in 2001. The company will finance the project from more sources. CEK 500 mil will be covered from a seven-year gredit granted by Komercni banka (Czech Republic), nearly CEK 400 mil from Lovochemie's own sources, and the rest will be provided by foreign customers in the form of advance payments for fertilizers.

Agrofert saw a profit of CEK 399 mil in 2000

Article Abstract:

Agrofert (Prague, Czech Republic), chemical and agricultural group, generated a pre-tax profit of CEK 399 mil on a turnover of CEK 12.7 bil in 2000. The company, which was set up in 1997, is involved above all in trade in industrial fertilizers, agrochemicals, raw materials for chemical production, and agricultural products. Agrofert's economic director won the contest the Manager of the Year 2000 in Prague in Mar 2001.
