Airbus says Boeing's plan for jet may violate rules: U.S. company's financing of new 7E7 with partners from Japan stirs concerns

Article Abstract:

Airbus S.A.S. officials have charged Boeing Co. with a possible violation of international trade rules based on how construction of Boeing's new jet aircraft may be funded. Boeing plans to have more than a third of the aircraft, the 7E7, built in Japan, which may involve subsidizing by the Japanese government.

Boeing to record up to $1.1 billion in charges on jet delays, U.S. pact

Boeing Co. of the United States is projecting a $1.1 billion charge on second quarter earnings. Revenue decreases will be due to delays to worldwide surveillance-jet technology development and a legal settlement with the United States Department of Justice.
