The making of a fugitive

Article Abstract:

James Charles Kopp is sought in connection with the murder of Dr. Barnett Slepian, a doctor who performed abortions. He disappeared shortly after the shooting, and has eluded authorities for close to 6 months. He had been closely associated with an anti-abortion movement that professed nonviolence, and friends express surprise that Kopp could be responsible for not only Slepian's shooting, but several non-fatal shootings in the US and Canada. An in-depth look at a particular facet of the anti-abortion underground is presented.
