An extended formulation approach to the edge-weighted maximal clique problem

Article Abstract:

The weighted maximal clique problem (MCPb) without node weights, otherwise known as edge-weighted MCPb, is modeled anew by using additional variables to represent the set of nodes and natural variables to represent the set of edges. The reformulation facilitates the application of a projection method to the inequalities to obtain new families of facet-defining inequalities for polytope associated with natural variables and, eventually, derive, a strong cutting-plane procedure for solving MCPb.

ATM VP-based network design

Article Abstract:

The ATM VP-based leased line network communication demands varied combination of configurations that link the routes to the actual facilities. An integer programming formulation of the problem and an algorithm to solve it are proposed. It is proved that an algorithm can be used to solve problems with small computing lines.
