An important contract in Turkey
Article Abstract:
Skoda Energo (Prague, Czech Republic), engineering firm, has arranged a contract on the installation of two gas-steam blocks with an output of 2x180 MW in Turkey. The investment costs on the project should be about CEK 7 bil, more than USD 180 mil. More than CEK 3 bil of the sum will be represented by Skoda. Skoda arranged the contract together with Istroenergo Group (Slovakia) and Tekfen (Turkey). The power station will be built at Yalova, Turkey. The contract's customer is Akel Yalova Electric (Turkey), subsidiary of AK Enerji and a member of the concern Akkoek (Turkey).

Skoda Plzen succeeds in Poland
Article Abstract:
Skoda Energo (SE) (Plzen, Czech Republic), engineering firm, will supply power equipment worth a total of 550 mil Kc to Poland in 2000. The deliveries will be done within two contracts. One is worth 450 mil Kc and covers the delivery of an engine room with an output of 96 MF for a power plant of Elektrocieplownia Tychy (Poland). The other is worth 100 mil Kc and regards the delivery of an 8-MW engine room for Promont (Poland). SE is a subsidiary of Skoda Holding (Plzen, Czech Republic).

VOP Sternberk completes a contract for Sweden
Article Abstract:
Vojensky opravarensky podnik 026 (VOP) (Sternberk, Czech Republic), repair and engineering company, completed a contract for the infantry of the Swedish army during 1Q 2001. The contract regarded the modernization of 350 armoured carriers worth USD 30 mil, CEK 1.151 bil. The contract supported the good reputation of VOP on the domestic and foreign markets and made a profit of CEK 100 mil per year to the firm.
