Article Abstract:

Differences in the approach to building relationships and developing networks are hampering the efforts of western firms to do business in Asia. Asians, particularly the Chinese, believe in making the relationship paramount. Other factors also stymy western businesses in Asian countries.

Article Abstract:

Massachusetts has passed a law banning trade with Myanmar, which has drawn complaints from Europe, Japan and the World Trade Organization. Massachusetts Governor William Weld and Representative Byron Rushing, who introduced the bill, are both standing firm against the criticism.
