Palm posts loss, but tops estimates

Palm Inc. posted a net loss for the fiscal fourth-quarter ending June 1, 2001. The company posted a $392.1 million (454.2 million euros) net loss for the period. However, Palm did post higher-than-expected quarterly operating results.
