Thales beats market expectations with 44% surge in operating profit

Thales SA posted higher-than-expected financial results for the 2000 year. The company posted a 44% rise in operating profits to 561 million euros on a 25% increase in revenues to 8.6 billion euros.

Air France posts profit but pares growth plans

Article Abstract:

Air France posted 120 million euros in net profits for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2003. This was a 22% fall from the previous year. The carrier has also cut back its planned capacity expansion due to the war in Iraq and outbreak of the SARS disease.

Air France revenue surges in quarter

Article Abstract:

Air France posted an improvement of 19% in its revenues for the first-quarter of 1999. However, the carrier's figures were kept down by a strike by its pilots. Air France posted 2.52 billion euros for the period ending in June. During the same quarter in 1998, the French airline reported 2.11 billion euros. Air France claimed that it was improving performance-wise and that it did better than its own predictions.
