Are you ready for inspection?

Article Abstract:

UK companies must assess their corporation tax themselves from Jul 1999. Larger companies must pay instalments of their corporation tax, but the company is responsible for examining the criteria and deciding whether it falls into this category of companies with higher profits. Companies have 12 months following the end of the accounting period in which to make their returns. The Inland Revenue may then decide to undertake an enquiry into the return, in which case it will seek access to company records for a team of tax specialists.
