Assicurazioni Generali's net rises 9.1% on premium gains

Third-quarter net profit for Italian insurance company Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. increased 9.1% to reach 538 mil euros, driven by strong performance in Eastern and Central Europe and by higher life premiums. Gross premiums increased 2.9% to 14 bil euros, with the firm's combined ratio improving to 95.4%.
