Article Abstract:

Michael Spindler is chief executive of Apple Corporation which has seen its share of the world personal computer market fall considerably. There have been staff cuts, product ranges have been rationalised and budgets slashed to stablise the company's performance. Spindler aims to improve Apple's market share to attract software designers by licensing the manufacuture of cheap Apple clones. There are also rumours of a possible link with complementary IBM technology.

Bull UK has seen strong growth over recent years, and is set to achieve revenues of 1 billion pounds sterling by the end of the 1990s, from the present 332 million pounds sterling, according to Richard Snook, the new head of the company. It has become more customer-focused, and has also begun to expand through acquisitions. The most recent purchase has been Irish computer services concern Cara.
