The Shopping Channel has adopted a multi-channel approach to transform is loyal television buyers into online shoppers. The strategy focused on providing consumers with the convenience of 24-hour shopping in the medium of their choice such as from a catalogue, on television, in a brick-and- mortar store or over the Internet. The company has launched a vitual store, www.tSc.ca, in May featuring a wide selection of goods across nine product categories.

Campbell Soup Co is now the sponsor of Atlantis Alliance Communications's Dish It Out project, which integrates TV and the Internet. Chef Christine Cushing is seen in every episode on Life Network and at www.dish-it- out.com, preparing a gourmet meal. Meanwhile Mark Foerster, a food reporter, offers food tips and a consumer update on the latest video clips, recipe of the day, and kitchen-related products that can be bought in the Dish It Out store.

Private-label bottled water is a new kind of brand marketing introduced in Canada by Langley, British Columbia-based Private Reserve Water. Clients of Private Reserve get to see their corporate logo labelled on water bottles, which when offered to their own customers, as in the case of restaurants and hotels, or distributed at annual meetings or trade shows become a great promotional tool.
