Back in the big time

Article Abstract:

The British Navy's FOAEW platform must offer more in terms of performance to protect the Carrier Vessel Future (CVF) against greater threats. The AEW, which is a critical element of the Royal Navy's maritime anti-air warfare, should provide both low and high level advanced warning of offensive aircraft and missiles, whether coming from land or the sea. As advancements lead to FOAEW's increased data input and extended roles, the need for more operators are expected unless some significant decision- making aids are created.
