US envoy Dennis Ross has several obstacles to overcome in helping negotiate peace between Israel and the Palestinians. One is Binyamin Netanyahu's resistance to outside negotiators and further progress in the peace process. Another is convincing the Palestinian authority to truly crack down on terrorists.

No turning back: despite this week's bomb in Saudi Arabia, and apparent setbacks in Israel, America must continue its efforts in the Middle East

Article Abstract:

The US should not withdraw its troops from Saudi Arabia because of the Jun 25, 1996, bombing in Dhahran, which killed 19 US service people. Instead the US should back political and human-rights reforms. The US should also restate its position with Israel.
