Barrett Resources rejects Shell bid, seeks other offers

Barrett Resources Corp. has turned down an acquisition offer from Royal Dutch/Shell Group. Barrett, which is now seeking other bids, was offered $1.8 billion (1.93 billion euros) by Royal Dutch.

Woodside Petroleum Ltd. has received a new acquisition offer from Royal Dutch/Shell Group. Royal Dutch increased its offer to A$14.80 (9.24 euros) per share for Woodside.
