Bayer AG sells division to Siemens

Bayer Healthcare a division of Bayer AG of Germany is to be purchased by Siemens AG also of Germany for $4.2 billion Euros ($5.3 billion). Siemens AG is growing its health-care services and equipment company. The sale of Bayer Healthcare will aid Bayer AG in its finance of the Schering AG acquisition.

Siemens CEO is battling the clock

Chief Executive Klaus Kleinfeld, Siemens AG of Germany has made several acquisitions causing some shareholders to fear their shares are losing value. Mr. Kleinfeld says it will take time to turnaround the electronics company. Share price has risen two percent to 64.79 Euros ($82.43).
