HypoVereinsbank has seen changes in its board of directors due to a bad loan scandal. The bank was created from a merger involving Vereinsbank and Hypo-Bank. Hypo has been found not to have made enough provisions, something that should have been noted prior to the merger. German banking regulations may be altered as a result of these revelations. The bank's stock price rose as a result of the measures taken to tackle the problem. Motivation could be a problem among employees of the bank.
