Bollore strengthens hand at Havas

Vincent Bollore has been appointed Chairman of French advertising agency Havas S.A. Mr. Bollore owns a 22 percent stake in the company and is the largest shareholder. Havas S.A. has created a power-sharing top management arrangement between Mr. Bollore and Chief Executive Officer Philippe Wahl.

Havas CEO moves to Thwart takeover

Article Abstract:

Chief Executive Officer Alain De Pouzilhac of France's Havas, has rounded major investors to form a "shareholders club" to back his continued leadership. This management strategy is to fend off a potential buyout by Bollare. Havas reported a net profit of $44.7 million.
